Grey Bruce’s largest hospital network, Brightshores Health System has announced Steven Green as its new board chair and introduced three new members to its board of directors.
Green took over from Deborah Pope on June 24 as the organization launched its 2026-31 strategic plan, titled Stronger.
“I am honoured to serve as Chair of the Brightshores Board of Directors at such an important time for the organization,” says Green. “Working alongside my fellow volunteer Board members, and with the dedication of our leaders, physicians and staff, we look forward to supporting the delivery of high-quality, connected care for the communities we serve.”
The new directors joining the board are Shaun Elliott, Carol Gray and Ted Squires:
– Shaun Elliott, an experienced nonprofit executive with a distinguished track record in governance, organizational leadership, and financial stewardship
– Carol Gray, a former senior executive in the financial services industry with extensive board experience across different industries
– Ted Squires, an entrepreneur and leader in the aerospace manufacturing industry, committed to innovation and strategic leadership.
Deborah Pope will serve in the role of past chair, an advisory board position responsible for ensuring organizational continuity.
“We are grateful for the contributions of our outgoing Board Chair and members, whose guidance and stewardship have been instrumental in moving Brightshores forward with purpose,” says President and CEO Ann Ford. “Our new Board Chair and Board members bring valuable knowledge and diverse perspectives that will support our continued growth and strengthen our connection to the communities we serve.”
