Counterfeit five-dollar bills seized by OPP, used at businesses in Clinton and Goderich (From: Huron OPP)
Police are warning about fake cash circulating around Huron County.
OPP say they are investigating after several five-dollar Canadian bills suspected to be counterfeit were passed at businesses in Goderich and Clinton over the past month.
Officers say the bills were similar to real cash, but showed excessive wear and colour differences.
Huron County residents are being encouraged to double check their bills, and if they suspect a fraudulent bill is in their possession, contact the OPP.
Huron OPP say the bills will be forwarded to RCMP for further investigation.
