Barrie Police have charged a man with human trafficking.
The man, 25 year old Vincent Reid of Scarborough is accused of trafficking a 23 year old Barrie woman and police believe there may be more victims.
Reid initially connected with the victim, on social media. He then lured the victim through regular communication online, with the relationship eventually escalating into the victim being trafficked for sexual services…with him keeping the proceeds.
Reid’s 9 criminal charges include trafficking in persons, material benefit from trafficking in person, assault, uttering threats and trafficking cocaine.
