Collingwood council will get a look next month at recommendations to mitigate flooding in town.
A draft stormwater management plan is complete which contains an analysis of flood prone areas, and possible solutions to prevent damage.
The study identified more than two dozen areas of town where floods could potentiallycaused hundreds of million dollars in damage.
The document makes a number of recommendations which include storm sewer upgrades — and education for property owners so they can flood proof their homes.
