Summer is in full swing and Owen Sound has some family-friendly outdoor entertainment planned, starting tomorrow.
The first of four outdoor movie nights is set to be held, with a screening of GOAT scheduled Friday evening at the Kelso Beach at Nawash Park Amphitheatre. It’s a free-to-attend event.
The site will open at 7 p.m., and the movie will begin at dusk.
“Friday’s pre-movie activities starting at 7 p.m. will include creativity, storytelling and theatrical fun by The Roxy Young Company as well as OSHARE who will be providing games, challenges and fun activities,” a statement from the City of Owen Sound says.
You’re encouraged to bring your own lawn chair or blanket for the show.
The other outdoor movie nights planned in Owen Sound this summer will be on July 24, August 14 and August 28 — they’ll be held in different locations each time.
Here’s the full schedule:
Friday, July 10 – GOAT – Kelso Beach at Nawash Park Amphitheatre
Friday, July 24 – Big Hero 6 – Community Waterfront Heritage Centre Greenspace
Friday, August 14 – Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu – Owen Sound Farmers’ Market
