Arts Alliance Owen Sound is inviting the community to celebrate local arts and culture at its Art & Jazz Festival on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grey Gallery Garden. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
The festival will feature an afternoon of live music, hands-on art experiences and family-friendly activities designed to showcase the creativity and talent of Owen Sound’s arts community.
“Whether you’re an artist, a music lover or simply looking for a fun way to spend a summer afternoon, the Art & Jazz Festival offers something for everyone,” says Roxy Theatre manager Tiffany McMillin, one of the event sponsors. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the remarkable artistic talent in our community while bringing people together through creativity and music.”
The live performances beginning with Jazz 5 featuring Don Buchanan at 11 a.m., followed by Agneya: World Jazz at 12:30 p.m. and SweetStrings by SweetWater at 2:15 p.m.
Throughout the day, festival goers can watch local artists at work during ongoing demonstrations of painting, pottery, fibre arts and stained glass. Children and adults alike are invited to participate in interactive activities and create their own artwork.
In the event of rain, the festival will move indoors to GB Arts in Owen Sound.
