Phase two of the reconstruction of Berford Street in Wiarton is back on this week.
The Town of South Bruce Peninsula says access to Tim Hortons and Foodland is available via Frank Street. The Town says the closure is expected to remain in place until at least Labour Day.
Phase one was completed from 2019 to 2023 and included the design and reconstruction of underground infrastructure as well as the road.
Now, work is taking place from George to Elm streets.
Work includes the replacement of underground watermain, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure, full road reconstruction, new sidewalks, upgraded streetlighting and a new traffic signal at the Frank Street intersection.
