There are plenty of options for how to spend Canada Day this year around Grey Bruce.
Owen Sound will host two days of events, starting at 1 p.m. on June 30 at Kelso Beach at Nawash Park. Celebrations continue at 10 a.m. on July 1 with live music, food trucks, vendors, and activities, concluding with fireworks at 10 p.m.
Saugeen Shores has festivities in both Port Elgin and Southampton. Port Elgin will host Poutinefest downtown from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with live music starting at noon. Southampton has a barbecue, live music, and kids activities starting at 4 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.
Tobermory will offer cupcakes at the Tobermory Community Centre and live music at the harbour from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wiarton has events running all day, starting with a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by various dinner options from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Activities include a petting zoo, games, prizes, and face painting, with the day capping off with fireworks at dusk.
Sauble Beach will feature live music in the town square throughout the day, followed by fireworks at dusk.
Georgian Bluffs will celebrate in Big Bay with breakfast and yoga from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Kincardine will host a parade at 11 a.m., starting at Victoria Park and finishing at the flagpole on Harbour Street.
Hanover will feature a cash-only breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Curling Club. From 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., there will be live music and food trucks on 7th Avenue.
Walkerton’s celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring live music, a barbecue, and a free swim.
Meaford’s celebration runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Meaford Rotary Harbour Pavilion, featuring live music, community vendors, a car show, and more.
The Blue Mountains will hold celebrations in both Clarksburg and Thornbury. Clarksburg will host activities from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Thornbury will have events from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A parade will start at 11 a.m. in Clarksburg and travel to Thornbury.
Priceville will feature live music at 7 p.m., with food available and fireworks at dusk.
