The Municipality of Meaford invites residents to help tell the community’s story as part of a documentary celebrating the 25th anniversary of amalgamation.
Residents, organizations, businesses and community members from across the communities, hamlets, villages and rural areas are encouraged to take part. The documentary will feature local voices through short, professionally filmed interviews and may include footage captured in meaningful community locations.
“This project is an opportunity to hear directly from the people who shape our community every day,” says economic development coordinator Jessica Kenyon. “We’re looking for a wide range of stories that reflect both personal experiences and the connections that bring our municipality together.”
Those interested will participate in an on-camera interview (roughly 10 to 30 minutes) that works around their schedule. Clips selected will be featured in the documentary, which will premiere at Meaford Hall this fall and be shared publicly as part of the municipality’s celebration.
Residents who are interested in participating, or who would like to nominate someone to be featured, should visit meaford.ca/25 by July 10.
