Northern Bruce Peninsula council has passed a motion to support the Tobermory Children’s Camp.
The camp requested $5,000 from council to support its 2026 summer programming.
The camp provides six weeks of full-day programming for children aged four to 10 in the municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.
A staff report says the $5,000 contribution will help the organization continue to provide accessible and meaningful programming while supporting the social and economic vitality of Northern Bruce Peninsula during the busy summer months.
The Tobermory Children’s Camp program features activities such as arts and crafts, music, storytelling, literacy activities, STEM-based learning, outdoor play, physical activity, nature walks, and environmental exploration.
The program became a registered charity in 2015.
