Ten high school students from Huron County will be receiving post-secondary funding up to $44 thousand from the McCall MacBain Foundation.
The McCall Huron County Scholarships began in 2019 as a desire by Marcy and John McCall MacBain to give back to the community.
This year’s recipients are:
- Hannah Hewitt — Central Huron Secondary School
- Sofia Kluz — St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School
- April Selkirk — Goderich District Collegiate Institute
- Clare McDade — St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School
- Ashlyn Hills — F.E. Madill Secondary School
- Clara DeBoer — Central Huron Secondary School
- Ty Smale — Central Huron Secondary School
- Kate Reid — St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School
- Addison Thibeault — South Huron District High School
- Connor Moran — F.E. Madill Secondary School
Since its founding in 2019, the scholarships have supported more than 50 students from Huron County.
Applications for the 2027 cohort will open in September 2026.
