OPP have charged a Markdale man after a collision with a pedestrian.
Wellington North OPP say at about noon on April 9th, they received a report that a pedestrian and their dog were struck by a tractor-trailer while attempting to cross Highway 6 in Arthur.
OPP say it was reported the tractor-trailer was heading northbound on Highway 6 and attempting to turn right, eastbound onto Frederick Street East, when the pedestrian and their dog were hit.
The pedestrian was transported by air ambulance to a trauma centre with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The dog died.
A 60 year old Markdale man is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving causing bodily harm and failing to yield to a pedestrian on a roadway.
