Music students at St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School in Clinton received gold recognition nationally.
The St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School Concert Band competed at MusicFest Nationals in Niagara Falls, where Music teacher Josh Geddis says they won a Gold standing.
This year’s national competition featured over 8 thousand students from across Canada, representing more than 300 ensembles.
The band performed a piece from local composer Jeff Christmas, and Canadian composer Cait Nishimura.
One student also received special recognition.
Logan Allman received a National Honour Award for his outstanding performance and leadership in the band.
