Honda Canada says it has indefinitely suspended its plans for a $15-billion electric vehicle complex in Alliston. The automaker says it’s part of a major overhaul of operations.
Honda says the suspension will not affect the current production and staffing levels at its plant in Alliston.
The announcement comes as Honda posted a $2.7 billionUSD loss today — its first-ever full-year loss due in large part to the heavy costs of its EV strategy as Donald Trump’s policies shift away from EVs.
