An independent organization called Accreditation Canada that assesses quality and safety performance at hospitals across the country, has awarded Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital with Exemplary Standing.
The recognition is based on an on-site survey that took place March 30th through April 2nd of this year.
During their visit, a team of surveyors evaluated the facility against 24 standards, including 25 Required Organizational Practices or ROPs and more than 2,300 individual criteria. The hospital achieved a 99% compliance rate overall and met 100% of ROPs.
Exemplary Standing is the highest designation a hospital can achieve.
