The Municipality of West Grey is recognizing outstanding citizens and organizations through its annual Civic Honour Roll.
Presented during National Volunteer Week, the honour roll celebrates individuals and groups who have made meaningful contributions to the community through leadership, volunteerism, and service.
The 2026 recipients are:
Durham Hospital Foundation – Recognized for its continued fundraising efforts in support of the Durham Hospital and Medical Clinic, including a $1.2 million campaign for a new x-ray suite aimed at improving access to quality healthcare locally.
Jennifer Lang – Honoured for her dedication to supporting the Durham Hospital through community outreach and fundraising efforts involving local businesses, service clubs, and residents.
Isobel Morrison – Recognized for her ongoing volunteer contributions to the Durham Hospital Foundation, including behind-the-scenes support and donations of handmade items.
Mayor Kevin Eccles says the recipients represent the strength and compassion of the West Grey community, adding their efforts help make the municipality a resilient and caring place to live.
West Grey Council also thanked all volunteers across the municipality and encouraged residents to submit nominations for the 2027 Civic Honour Roll.
