The Municipality of Meaford has announced the appointment of Cole Dales as Deputy Fire Chief with the Meaford Fire Department, effective April 20, 2026.
Fire Chief Rob Pilon says Dales brings a strong and diverse background in fire service operations, emergency response, and community-focused leadership.
Dales has 14 years of fire service experience, beginning as a volunteer firefighter in Walkerton. He later spent four years with Ontario Power Generation’s Emergency Response Team at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station, gaining experience in inspections, fire prevention, and hazardous materials response.
He also served six years as an Auxiliary Constable with the Ontario Provincial Police and has worked the past five years as an Adjunct Instructor with the Ontario Fire College, training firefighters across the province.
Dales joined the Meaford Fire Department last year. Municipal officials say they look forward to his continued leadership and service to the community.
