The Township of Lake of Bays will lower its flags to half-mast at its facilities during the week of April 27 to mark and honour the National Day of Mourning.
Each year on April 28, the Township joins communities across Canada in pausing to remember workers who have lost their lives, been injured, or become ill because of their work. The day also serves as a reminder that workplace safety matters, every day.
Township staff and Council encourage the community to join us in honouring those affected and in renewing our shared responsibility to look out for one another and work toward safer workplaces for everyone.
