Grey and Bruce Counties have appointed members of Council to the Board of Health for the remainder of the council term at their recent meetings.
Grey County is appointing Shirley Keaveney, Dane Nielsen, Barbara Dobreen, and Scott Greig.
Bruce County is appointing Rod Anderson, Ken Craig and Steve Hammell.
The terms of the previous board members ended in February with the Counties and the Province moving together into a renewal phase beginning with a jointly developed skills-based matrix.
The matrix, unanimously supported by both councils, assesses skills deemed relevant to governing the Board of Health.
There’s no expectation for each member to have all skills, rather all members together will collectively share them there will also be additional training.
The newly established Board of Health is set to have its first meeting this spring.
