The Town of Hanover is receiving $291,759 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation as part of its fourth-quarter payment for hosting Playtime Casino Hanover.
The payment covers the period from January 1 to March 31.
According to OLG, Hanover received a total of $1,269,448 during the 2025-26 fiscal year, which ran from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
Since the gaming site first opened in February 2001, the municipality has received more than $25.3 million in hosting revenue.
Host community payments are calculated using a standard formula applied across Ontario gaming sites, based on a graduated share of gaming revenue.
Provincial officials say the funding can help municipalities invest in infrastructure, community services, and other local priorities.
