The Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce is announcing the recipients of the organization’s spring tourism development funding.
Eight community organizations received a share of $54,000 to go toward new and innovative initiatives that enhance tourism, cultural vibrancy, and year-round visitation in Owen Sound.
According to the Chamber, the projects represent a diverse range of initiatives, including festivals, events, and destinations.
The spring recipients include the Georgian Bay Folk Society’s Snowfolk Club Music Series, the Motoring Festival, the 2027 Top OHL Prospects Game, and Bandit Fest 2026.
Some of the money is also going toward improvements for harbour access and the waterfront dock system.
The Owen Sound Tourism Development Fund is awarded twice a year, in the spring and fall.
Applicants are evaluated on project alignment, economic benefits, community impact, innovation, and feasibility.
