The Owen Sound Little Theatre is set to bring suspense and intrigue to the stage with its latest production, Witness for the Prosecution.
The play, written by renowned mystery author Agatha Christie, opens April 16 at the Roxy Theatre and runs through April 25.
Directed by Bill Murphy, the production features a large cast of 21 performers, blending experienced actors with newcomers. The story centres on Leonard Vole, a man on trial for murder, as the courtroom drama unfolds through unexpected testimony and twists that challenge the truth.
Murphy says the play stands out from many of Christie’s works by focusing on a single suspect, with the audience left to determine whether he is innocent or guilty.
Performances run April 16 to 18 and April 22 to 25 at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on April 19.
Tickets are available online at roxytheatre.ca, by phone 519-371-2833, or at the theatre box office.
