Residents and organizations across Grey and Bruce are invited to take part in the 2026 Healthy Communities Conference, focused on building a “culture of wellness” in local communities.
The two-day event, organized by the Grey Bruce Healthy Communities Partnership, will take place April 27 and 28, 2026, in Owen Sound.
The conference begins the evening of April 27 at the Sydenham Campus, followed by a full day of programming on April 28 at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Participants will hear from a range of speakers and experts, including keynote presenter Dr. Elisa Levi, a family physician and dietitian involved in Indigenous-led primary care initiatives. The event will also feature panel discussions and breakout sessions covering topics such as rural health care, equity, housing and homelessness, palliative care, and innovative community wellness strategies.
Organizers say the goal is to create open dialogue around improving health systems and ensuring better coordination of services across communities.
The conference has also been designed with accessibility in mind. Sponsored tickets are available for those facing financial barriers, and attendees under 30 can register for free thanks to support from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey, Bruce, and West Simcoe.
Registration is open until April 20, 2026, with tickets available for individual days.
More information, including the full agenda and registration details, is available through the Healthy Communities Conference webpage.
