Saugeen Conservation has upgraded to a Flood Watch following heavy rainfall earlier this week and more rain in the forecast.
They say between 20 and 75 mm of rain fell on March 31, and another 30-40 mm is expected through Saturday.
With the ground already saturated, rivers and streams are responding quickly and remain high.
Te Conservation authority while widespread flooding is not expected, localized flooding is possible, especially in low-lying areas and near watercourses. Ponding in fields and areas with poor drainage is also expected.
They say to use caution around rivers and streams. Banks are slippery, unstable, and the water is cold and fast-moving.
