The Guelph to Owen Sound Transit service is being extended to the end of August.
A release from the City of Owen Sound, Grey County and Wellington County says the extension is supported by funding contributions from the Province of Ontario through the Ontario Transit Investment Fund (OTIF), and the Counties of Grey and Wellington, ensuring uninterrupted service for riders across the region.
GOST connects Owen Sound and Guelph, stopping in Chatsworth, Williamsford, Durham, Mount Forest, Arthur, Fergus, and Elora. It provides key access to jobs, education, healthcare, and community services for residents, workers, students, and visitors.
The extension builds on the success of the original program, the City says, “Strong ridership and effective financial management have demonstrated the value of the service and supported its continuation.”
