There is a “No Tyrants” protest Saturday at the Owen Sound City Hall.
This protest will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 28th.
This kind of movement started in October 2025, with the “No Kings” protests in the United States.
The movement didn’t stop in the USA. People in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and Victoria joined in solidarity.
The key messages of this protest are:
- To stand in solidarity with No Kings rally participants in U.S. and across the world. Americans control their own destiny, but others can show they care.
- To raise alarm bells on any King-like (autocratic) attacks on Canada & Canadians.
- To stand firm that Canada will never be the 51″ state.
The protest in Owen Sound will be at City Hall from 1-3 p.m.
Meanwhile, there will be another demonstration taking place in Owen Sound, at the office of MPP Paul Vickers, at the Greystone Building on 8th Street East.
That demonstration is one of the planned “Fight Ford” Protests, which are made to protest Premier Doug Ford. The protest is planned for 9 a.m.
There will also be an anti-Doug Ford demonstration, at 12 p.m. outside Meaford Hall on Sykes Street.
