Bruce Power is set to undergo its annual safety performance review by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission this week.
The public meeting, scheduled for March 24 to 26 in Ottawa, will see CNSC staff present their assessment of safety performance at nuclear power plants and nuclear waste facilities across Canada.
The review evaluates facilities across 14 safety control areas, including environmental protection, radiation protection, operating performance, emergency management, and conventional health and safety.
Bruce Power says it welcomes the review and remains committed to maintaining strong safety standards while supplying reliable, clean electricity to Ontario and producing medical isotopes used in cancer treatment around the world.
Members of the public can watch the meeting online and access supporting documents, including regulatory oversight reports and submissions, through the CNSC.
