Bruce Power has hired Canadian consulting firm Nuclear Promise X as its project management partner for the Bruce C project.
The Bruce C project is a proposed project yet to be approved. The project aims to expand nuclear energy capabilities at the Bruce Power Nuclear Plant. This project will mark the first large-scale build at the Bruce plant since 1993.
NPX will also work on this partnership with Makwa Development, which is based in Saugeen Ojibway Territory.
In a press release Laurent Siegle, the Executive Vice-President of projects at Bruce Power talks about the importance of the project.
“Ontario’s demand for clean electricity is growing rapidly, and Bruce C represents a critical option for the Province’s long-term energy planning,”
Siegle also says that NPX brings the right skillset to the table and that Bruce Powers looks ahead to collaborating.
Bharath Nangia, the CEO of NPX says;
“We think this is perhaps the most important project in Ontario and Canada, and we are proud to serve as the Project Management partner for Bruce C.”
Scott Lee, the President of Makwa Development says that they are happy to collaborate with NPX on this significant project.
