
Saugeen Shores Police Service is asking for the public’s help as officers investigate several break-and-enter incidents in Saugeen Shores.
Police say a number of cases have been reported in recent months in both Port Elgin and Southampton.
One incident occurred December 27, 2025, when a residential break-and-enter was reported on Hillcrest Drive in Port Elgin while the homeowner was present.
Another case happened overnight February 10–11, 2026, when suspects broke into a barber shop in Southampton and stole property from inside the business.
Police are also investigating several residential break-ins in Port Elgin, including one in the 50-60 block of Westgate Drive believed to have occurred around 6:40 p.m. on February 19, and another in the 100 block of Bricker Street that may have taken place sometime between January 9 and February 24. Investigators say extensive damage was done inside that home.
A fifth incident occurred February 25 on Concession 8 in Saugeen Shores.
Police say personal property was stolen in several of the cases.
In some investigations, Scenes of Crime officers collected DNA evidence that has been sent for analysis.
