The Municipality of Meaford has introduced its updated Community Improvement Plan (CIP) for 2026, with changes aimed at improving clarity and making it easier to access financial incentives.
The plan supports key community priorities including housing, heritage conservation, sustainability, accessibility, and downtown and rural beautification.
“Our refreshed Community Improvement Plan will help more residents, businesses, and community partners take advantage of the financial incentives available to support local growth,” said Amy Cann, Director of Development Services. “These improvements will make it easier for people to apply and will help drive investment in the areas the community has identified as priorities.”
The CIP provides grants, rebates, and tax incentives to eligible property owners, businesses, developers, non-profit housing partners, and agricultural operators.
Updates for 2026 include clearer program guidelines, improved eligibility descriptions, and simplified administration to make the application process more straightforward.
