The Rotary Club of Gravenhurst has announced another considerable donation from member John Cooper and his wife Denise of $111,000 to the Gravenhurst Health Hub.
This donation brings the total amount gifted by this generous couple to $221,000.
This donation was made possible by the transfer of a stock share investment that the couple says is an ideal way for donors to contribute, as there is no tax on an investment gain and the donor receives a tax credit for the donation.
John and Denise express their special appreciation to their family physician Dr Chris Richardson and specialist Dr Keith Moran “for keeping this old guy going!”
The Rotary Club of Gravenhurst working with the Cottage Country Family Health Team has now raised over $1.15 Million dollars for the Health Hub.
A tender has been approved for Phase 1 with construction starting March 2.
An additional $53,000 is needed to complete the Phase 2 goal which is expected to be achieved sometime this summer.
