A 41-year-old woman from Huntsville is facing robbery charges following an incident in Orillia.
Yesterday at around 1:20 am, Orillia OPP responded to a call about an unwanted person at a business on Atherley Road.
When police responded, they were told by the caller that there was a patron at the business who had said that a weapon would be used against them if they didn’t provide the person with cigarettes or alcohol.
Officers found the suspect, and immediately placed her under arrest.
The accused is facing a charge of robbery with violence, mischief for damaging property, two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and resisting a peace officer.
No weapons were found in their possession.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
