The Gravenhurst Curling Club is proud to announce the return of its popular 2026 GCC Experience Muskoka and Beyond Auction, an online auction featuring a wide array of memorable experiences, local adventures, and one-of-a-kind opportunities — all in support of the club’s 125th anniversary fundraising campaign.
The auction is now live at www.32auctions.com/gccexploreauction and will remain open until Thursday, April 2 at 8:00 p.m. Community members are encouraged to browse, bid, and share the auction widely.
An Auction Built Around Experiences
This year’s auction is focused on experiences rather than traditional items, offering something for every interest and age, including:
-
Kayaking adventures, lake cruises, and boat tours
-
Golf outings, pickleball lessons, and backyard golf instruction
-
Private concerts, cooking classes, and baking workshops
-
Cottage getaways, travel experiences, and unique stays
-
Dog sitting, pet care, and practical services
-
Wine nights, bonfires, garden planning, tie-dye parties, and more
Many of the experiences are generously hosted by Gravenhurst Curling Club members and community supporters, making the auction both a fundraiser and a celebration of the people and places that make Muskoka special.
“The range of experiences already donated is wonderful — it truly reflects the creativity, generosity, and spirit of our members and community,” says Glenn Silver, Head of the GCC Fundraising Committee. “At the same time, we’re still encouraging additional experience donations. Whether it’s a skill you can share, a gathering you can host, or a local adventure you love, every new item helps strengthen the auction and our fundraising efforts.”
Supporting a Community Hub for 125 Years — and Beyond
Funds raised through the 2026 GCC Experience Muskoka and Beyond Auction will directly support the maintenance and upkeep of the Gravenhurst Curling Club, while also helping improve and expand curling and pickleball programming for the broader community.
The Gravenhurst Curling Club is a community-run, not-for-profit, six-sheet curling facility serving more than 350 members across curling and pickleball. It is the Town of Gravenhurst’s largest sports and recreation centre for adults 55+, while also providing low-cost and no-cost programming for youth, Special Olympics athletes, and social leagues such as Euchre.
“As we celebrate 125 years of curling in Gravenhurst, this auction is an important part of how we care for the club and ensure it continues to serve our community well into the future,” says Joanne Chase, President of the Gravenhurst Curling Club. “Every bid directly supports our facility and helps us remain an inclusive, welcoming place for seniors, youth, and community members of all ages.”
Additional Experience Donations Welcome
The club is still welcoming additional experience donations from members and community supporters. Experiences can be large or small — from hosting a dinner or workshop to sharing a service, lesson, or local outing.
The deadline to submit an experience is March 28, 2026.
