Bruce County was on the receiving end of two provincial funding announcements.
Ahead of Thursday’s county council meeting, Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson made a presentation for the two funding announcements.
The first was $25,000 for Bruce County’s Emergency Services, earmarked for mental health supports for Public Safety Personnel, which is aimed at protecting the mental well-being of frontline emergency workers.
The second commitment was a Land Ambulance Service Grant for almost $8 million.
Those funds will support the timely and reliable delivery of paramedic services across the region.
