A car seat clinic is happening this week thanks to Grey Bruce OPP, in partnership with the Owen Sound Police Auxiliary.
Parents and caregivers are invited to attend on Thursday, February 12, at the Markdale OPP Detachment (23 Greenview Lane, Markdale).
The clinic will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
There’s no need to pre-register, simply come into the detachment and let officers know you’re there for a car seat installation. To make the process smoother, attendees are asked to bring the manuals for both their car seat and their motor vehicle.
Officers with Grey Bruce OPP and Owen Sound Auxiliary recently completed specialized car seat installation training through the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada in order to properly assist families in the installation of their child car seats, ensuring the highest level of safety for young passengers.
For those unable to attend the clinic, CPSAC offers resources and a directory of certified technicians across Canada. Visit www.cpsac.org to find a technician near you.
