The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying individuals involved in multiple stolen vehicle investigations in the Town of Parry Sound.
On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at approximately 8:30 a.m., members of the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a report of an abandoned motor vehicle at a local business on William Street in Parry Sound. The investigation revealed the vehicle, a grey 2017 GMC Sierra equipped with a red snowplow, had been stolen from a business located on Station Street in Parry Sound. Police believe the vehicle was abandoned at approximately 1:40 p.m. on February 2, 2026.
Surveillance footage captured three individuals exiting the vehicle before leaving the area on foot. The individuals are believed to be one female and two males and are described as:
• In their teens or early twenties
• One female wearing a dark grey hoodie and a baseball cap
• One male wearing a black winter jacket with white writing on the back
• A second male wearing dark clothing and a dark baseball cap
Police have released an image of the individuals of interest, officers are also seeking surveillance or dashcam footage from the area of William Street on February 2, 2026, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Further, Thursday, February 5, 2026, at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers responded to George Hunt Memorial Drive in McDougall Township after reports of two white pickup trucks in the ditch. Police located two white Ford F-250 pickups, both vehicles were determined to be stolen from a business on Great North Road in Parry Sound. No occupants were located.
Officers are seeking surveillance or dashcam footage from George Hunt Memorial Drive between Fairway Drive and Demick Drive, and also in the area of 55 Great North Road between 9:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on February 5, 2026. In addition, investigators are reviewing a February 6, 2026 occurrence involving an abandoned pickup truck on the shoulder of Highway 400 near the Mill Lake bridge. Three individuals were seen walking nearby prior to police attendance, and the vehicle was later confirmed to have been stolen from a local worksite.
