Community Foundation Grey Bruce is now accepting applications for its Spring Community Grants.
Eligible charities and non-profit organizations can now apply for grants up to $5,000 for projects benefiting the community in the areas of health and wellness, arts and culture, education and lifelong learning, living standards and housing, the environment, and community connections.
In 2025, Community Foundation Grey Bruce awarded more than one million dollars in grants to regional charities and non-profits through its numerous granting streams.
Applications must be submitted online by April 15, 2026.
Scholarship applications are also open now for local students pursuing post-secondary education at university, college, or in the skilled trades with an application deadline of May 31st, 2026.
In addition, applications are currently open for Free to Play, an initiative that supports outdoor, unstructured, child-led play for children and youth. Free to Play aims to reduce barriers to everyday outdoor play and strengthen inclusive, community-based play opportunities. In this first of two calls, $205,000 is available locally. Applications close February 24, 2026.
To support organizations interested in applying, Community Foundation Grey Bruce will host its Annual Non-Profit Workshop on Tuesday, March 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound. The day features granting updates, as well as a variety of speakers and discussion focused on best practices in the charitable sector.
