The Owen Sound Tourism Development Fund is announcing $93,000 in grants to be given to local organizations.
Ten local groups and project leads will receive the funding to support new and innovative initiatives to enhance tourism, cultural vibrancy, and year-round visitation to the city of Owen Sound.
Festivals and events that will benefit from the funding include the Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular, Dirt Road Revival, and the Summerfolk Festival.
Through the capital tourism enhancement category, Owen Sound Lacrosse will get money to help bring artificial turf to the Bayshore.
New experiences will also be covered by the OSTDF, including marketing for Bikeface Cycling and Mudtown Station Brewery, as well as the Roxy Theatre.
The tourism development fund awards support two times per year, and the committee that oversees the fund has an opening for additional members.
