Saugeen Shores police have charged a man with assault.
They say back on Monday, January 19th they took a report of an assault in Port Elgin where a man had been sprayed with a substance believed to be pepper spray.
A suspect was identified and a warrant was requested for his arrest.
Saugeen Shores police say yesterday, (Jan 27) they arrested a 31-year-old Saugeen Shores man.
Officers say they located syringes, a metal baton, metal handcuffs and rope in his backpack.
He has been charged with:
– Assault with a Weapon
– Uttering Threats
– Possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes
– Carry a concealed weapon
– Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance
He was scheduled for a bail hearing today.
