
Another third period that got away.
Ryerson Edgar scored a hat trick, two as part of a four-goal third period for Niagara as the Ice Dogs blanked the Owen Sound Attack 5-0 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Alexander Hage and Hayden Reid also scored for the Ice Dogs (21-19-3-1), which led 1-0 after two periods before breaking the game open in the third.
The Attack lost their seventh straight game, and 14th in the past 15.
Charlie Robertson made 30 saves, posting his second shutout of the season. Matthew Koprowski stopped 23 taking the loss. The Attack outshot Niagara 30-28 while going 0 for 2 on the power play; Niagara was 1 for 5.
Next up for the Attack is a home game Wednesday against Kitchener Rangers.
