The snowy week rolls on with more squalls in the forecast.
Environment Canada has issued snow squall warnings around the Grey Bruce region, saying another 20-40 centimetres could fall over the next two days. Blowing snow is also possible with wind gusts of up to 60 kilometres an hour.
“The blowing snow will be most pronounced in open and wind exposed areas,” Environment Canada says in its warning. “Travel will likely be hazardous. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Road closures are possible.”
The forecast for today is five to 10 centimetres of snow, and then another five to 10 tonight. Tomorrow, some of the region will get another 5 to 10 centimetres — but some spots in Bruce County could see heaver stuff, up to 20 centimetres.
All school buses in Bruce and Grey counties are again cancelled today.
Highway 21 also remains closed between Port Elgin and Amberley. You can view the latest road conditions report here.
