Nominations are now open for the Town of Hanover’s Labyrinth of Distinction.
The distinction recognizes those for exceptional accomplishments, contributions and dedication which have positively influenced the community and town.
Inductions happen every other year and an engraved stone is placed in the plaza area of the Heritage Square Labyrinth to honour those chosen.
Residents can nominate anyone in two categories, Community Builders, which recognize people who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and long-term impact in the areas of health and academic, industry and business, and community service.
The other category is Personal Achievements and Accomplishments which are for people who are involved in politics, sports, or the arts, and have brought pride and recognition to themselves and the town.
“Induction into the Labyrinth of Distinction is regarded as a significant honour, celebrating individuals who have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and lasting impact. The labyrinth is intended to honour and preserve the legacy of those whose efforts have brought pride, distinction, and recognition to the Hanover community, ensuring their contributions are remembered and appreciated by future generations,” says the town in a release.
Nomination forms are available online here, at the municipal office, or the Parks, Recreation and Culture Office.
The deadline to submit is Feb. 28.
