Nearly 300 thousand physical items circulated through the Huron County Library system in its latest annual report.
The province released a report on 2024 Ontario Public Library Statistics, looking at details from number of residents serviced, to active cardholers, and weekly hours of operation.
Libraries within Huron County were typically at or slightly below provincial averages for similarly sized libraries.
Over 289 thousand physical items circulated through the county’s libraries in 2024, with the average just over 333 thousand.
That is roughly 16 items per active card user.
Across all county libraries, there are 74 public access computer workstations, with 52 of those connected to the internet.
