Hanover Police have charged a man for an alleged break-in earlier this month.
Police officers in the southern Grey County town were on patrol just after 3 a.m. on Jan. 4 and observed an “insecure commercial property” that was forcibly entered.
“Officers determined that the suspect had fled prior to police arrival,” Hanover Police say in a release. “The investigation identified the male suspect who was responsible for the entry.”
Hanover Police say the male suspect was located walking in the town’s downtown core on Jan. 6.
The 36-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested. Police allege the suspect was found in possession of weapons, break-in tools and blank uncut motor vehicle keys.
The man is charged with a list of criminal offences, including carrying a concealed weapon and possession of break-in instruments.
