No one was hurt as a vehicle erupted in flames in Owen Sound this morning.
Owen Sound firefighters were called to the incident around 7 a.m. on 8th Street East — at the top of the hill — just east of 9th Avenue.
A video sent to Bayshore News showed a pick-up truck fully engulfed in flames.
A fire department spokesperson confirms two trucks responded. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
The fire is not considered suspicious.
A spokesperson for the fire department says the driver of the pick-up truck noticed smoke coming from the engine while driving, pulled over and tried unsuccessfully to use snow to put out what started as a minor fire. The blaze continued to grow until it turned into a fiery inferno, leaving the truck fully engulfed in flames.
There were no injuries reported. Firefighters cleared the scene just prior to 8 a.m.
