The mother of a 10 year old boy found deceased on New Year’s Eve Day in Barrie is now charged with first degree murder.
Barrie Police say the 47 year old woman was charged once she was cleared medically as she was in hospital. She has been remanded into police custody.
Officers from the Major Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit are continuing their investigation, and say due to the nature of the incident and to respect the privacy of the family involved, updates will only be provided as the investigation permits.
