Two days into the New Year and Huronia West OPP have charged two drivers with impaired in Springwater Township – one of them 14 years old.
On New Year’s Day, police responded to a call about a vehicle in the ditch around 3am – a 26 year old Barrie man is charged with impaired in that incident.
And around 2am this morning (Jan 2) officers responded to a call from a male who said he was stuck in the snow on Anne Street south of Carson Road – the 14 year old male driver had taken his father’s vehicle without consent – and to make it worse, police suspected alcohol as a factor and the youth is now charged with failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
