Lake effect snow is expected to continue to blanket the Grey Bruce region over the next couple of days.
Snow squall warnings continue, with 5-10 centimetres in the forecast today for most of the region — and another 20-30 centimetres tonight.
Environment Canada says snowfall and blowing snow could continue through tomorrow afternoon, and even Thursday in some areas.
“Lake effect snow off Lake Huron continues. Widespread blowing snow resulting in near zero visibility remains the primary concern due to northwesterly winds gusting 50 to 70 km/h. Winds are expected to ease this evening,” Environment Canada says in its warning. “Lake effect snow bands may weaken somewhat for a time today before intensifying again tonight into Wednesday.”
