OPP have issued a winter driving advisory – they ask motorists to avoid travel unless necessary into tonight with road conditions deteriorating rapidly. And OPP note that staying home keeps the roads safer for all.
A yellow wind warning is in effect, for our region — with wind gusts 70 to 90 kilometres per hour expected into this evening.
We’re also going to see the temperature drop…. that could mean icy conditions on roads and sidewalks.
And an orange snow squall warning is in effect for the Collingwood-Barrie-Hillsdale region
Environment Canada says with the high winds and off lake snow… some areas may see impossible travel conditions with zero visibility.
