Meaford is moving to a provincial program for recycling collection in the new year.
Starting Jan. 1, recycling collection in the municipality will transition to the province’s new Extended Producer Responsibility recycling system.
This province-wide change will have Circular Materials, a not-for-profit organization, oversee recycling services in Meaford. Miller Waste Systems will continue to provide local curbside recycling collection.
Residents will see no changes on recycling collection day, blue bin use, or set-out requirements.
For recycling and garbage to be collected, bins must be placed on the curb by 7 a.m. as usual.
